Hi everybody!
So a few weeks ago I bought a rooster tail (Yakima 3/8oz rainbow trout) and it quickly became my go to. I didn't get skunked with this thing once. On the weekend I went out fishing with the wife and we didn't get out till pretty late. She was using the rooster tail and I had it on a steel leader as she had mono and the lake we were at has a pretty heavy pike presence and they love this lure. By the time we packed up it was pretty late and dark so I packed up quickly, just tossed the lure with the leader in the tackle box. I didn't notice anything wrong with it though. The next day I went out and when I was looking for my lucky lure I couldn't find it until I noticed it looked like this now. Paint was all stripped off except for a bit on the top and the weighted body of the lure was bent. She had one little snag but not bad enough to bend the lure, and I'd assume the hook would bend first regardless. The only thing I can think of is that with the steel leader if the weight is lead it had some kind of galvanic corrosion going on or something. But wouldn't the wire of the lure and the hook be steel as well? So why would the leader react differently? I'm very puzzled. If any of you can shed light on this so I can make sure it doesn't happen again that would be amazing.
Thanks!

Peyronie’s Disease.
Ive done this with a few, it smacks against a rock or a pylon and the weight gets all bend and it doesnt spin anymore. It also chips the paint.
Get you a new one.
Theres a wire that runs through the body of the lure that can get bent via so many ways. You can try and straighten it back out
It was a Goblin. A CJ Goblin
